NEW DELHI: Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, following her first cabinet meeting, has retained the finance, revenue, and women and child development departments among others. With a total of 10 portfolios, she emerges as the busiest minister in her government.

Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has taken charge of 10 different departments, making her the most engaged member of the cabinet. Following her are Ashish Sood and Kapil Mishra, each handling six portfolios.

Parvesh Verma is set to manage five departments, while Ravinder Indraj Singh and Pankaj Kumar Singh have been assigned three each. Apart from her firm grip on finance and planning, Gupta will also oversee services and vigilance, among others that were not specified in the official notification.
Who Got What?
In a recent press conference, Gupta announced the portfolio allocations among her ministers. Parvesh Verma will steward public works, irrigation and flood control, and water resources. Ashish Sood takes charge of home, education, power, and urban development.
Gupta decided not to appoint a deputy, leaving Manjinder Singh Sirsa to oversee industries, environment and forest, and food and civil supplies. Pankaj Kumar Singh has been allocated health, transport, and IT.
Kapil Mishra, previously with AAP, is now responsible for law and justice, labour, tourism, and art and culture. Ravinder Indraj Singh will manage social welfare, SC/ST welfare, and cooperative affairs.
Concurrent with these allocations, the general administration department has confirmed the allocations were made in liaison with the lieutenant governor and chief minister.
